Product Details

The information you provide about a product influences how it is displayed to suppliers, helps you organize your products more effectively, and assists suppliers in understanding the product better.

  • Name - The name for your product that you want to display to your suppliers.

  • Description - The description for your product. Describe your products in detail to inform potential suppliers. The more you describe, the easier supplier can understand your requests.

  • Production Status - You don't need to manually fill in this field. It's used to manage the status of products. By default, products are in a "draft" state, indicating they haven't been officially launched yet. Once a product is archived, its status changes to "archived," but you can reactivate it later if needed.

  • Cost - How much it costs to produce the product. You can enter the price that you paid the manufacturer, excluding taxes, shipping, or other costs. If you create the product yourself, then you can enter a value that is based on your labor and material costs.

  • Media - The images, 3D models, and video that provide a visual demonstration of your product.

  • Category - Enter a category for your product that you've created, such as T-shirts, shirts, watches, etc., and we will match you with vendors who major in that category.

  • Type - Editable product category. If you don't find a suitable option under "category," try using "type" instead.

  • Tags - Add whatever you want in tags, and you can manage your products more quickly by searching or filtering.

SKU

For a product that has SKU, this section displays the options for the product, such as color and size.

You can add SKU to a product that has more than one option, such as size or color. Each combination of option values for a product can be a variant of that product.

  • In the SKU section, click + Add another option

  • In Option name field, enter a name for the option, such as Size.

  • In Option values section, enter each option value, such as Small, Medium, or Large.

  • Optional: To add another option to your SKU, such as Color or Material, click + Add another option. You can have up to 3 options for each product.

  • Once you are done adding SKU, the SKU will then display as following

  • Tech Pack

A tech pack, or technical package, is a detailed document that outlines all specifications and requirements for manufacturing a product, ensuring clear communication between designers, product developers, and manufacturers. It includes components such as technical sketches, a bill of materials (BOM), measurement specs, construction details, colorways, artwork, and packaging instructions. To write a good tech pack description, be detailed and clear, use visual aids, standardize terms, organize information logically, specify materials and components, provide accurate measurements, detail construction techniques, include quality standards, update regularly, and review thoroughly.

Example of a Good Tech Pack Description:

Fabric: 100% Polyester, 220 GSM, Color: Midnight Blue (Pantone 19-4024) Trims: YKK Zipper (Color: Black), Elastic Cuffs and Hem Size Chart: S (Bust: 34", Waist: 28", Length: 24") M (Bust: 36", Waist: 30", Length: 25") L (Bust: 38", Waist: 32", Length: 26") Construction: Double-needle stitching on all seams, 1/4" seam allowance, overlock finish on inside seams Artwork: Embroidered logo on the left chest (2"x2", White) Packaging: Folded, packed in polybag with size sticker, 20 units per carton

  • Attachment

The attachment field in a tech pack is used to provide visual references and supplementary documents that support the product’s design and manufacturing specifications. This may include detailed sketches, photos, artwork files, and any other visual aids that clarify the product’s features, construction, and appearance. Including attachments helps ensure accurate communication and understanding between all parties involved in the product development process.
